Hi! Were the Adams Family

GAH’s initial mission is to aide the community by providing started vegetable and pollinator encouraging flower plants to local businesses and family victory gardens.

We want to take our neighbors and friends with us thru the learning process of establishing and growing our two-acre small town homestead. We wish to encourage self-sufficiency and independence from large agribusinesses, and in this spirit, future goals include a ‘Learn and Loan’ center. We will offer classes aligned with popular community interests in many basic household, homestead, and small farm tasks that have been largely lost thru the years- tasks like basic home economics, cooking over open fires, shelf stable and safe food preservation practices, small animal husbandry, basic sewing, knitting, basic automotive maintenance and many more self-sufficiency goals. This center would also serve as a loaning library for our community to access equipment needed in completion of these tasks- items from knitting and quilting supplies to tillers and meat processing tools. Providing knowledge and tools that would help families learn that they too can be an urban homestead.

GAH has a desire to build community barter networks, friendships, and resources surrounding these goals.

Please join us in our journey.

We’ll see you on the next Golden Afternoon.

Much Love,

The Adams Family
